Udupi, July 24: Protests were held by Solidarity Youth Movement, Udupi, SIO Udupi district and Jamathe Islmami Hind women’s wing demanding justice to the women of sexual violence due to politics and racial enmity in Manipur between two communities.

Fr William Martis said, "we have to raise our voice against the guilty as the government is indifferent."

Professor Faniraj said that the policy of division by RSS and BJP is hidden behind the violence in Manipur. "Our prime minister is approving the policy of division. The conspiracy by capitalists is hidden behind the policy of division at Manipur. The government is preparing to sell the land where the Kuki community lives," he said.

"We need to understand the pro-Hindu mindset of RSS and BJP. They have applied it in our coast, Assam and Uttar Pradesh. We need to defeat them in democracy," he said.

Sanet Barboza said that the incidents at Manipur were inhuman. "We cannot be human if we do not condemn them," he said.

A memorandum was submitted to the president of India later through the DC.

Solidarity Youth Movement district president Nabil Gujjar Bettu, SIO state secretary Afwan Hoode, Solidarily Hoode unit president Jabbit Khatib, Solidarity Malpe secretary Shoib Malpe, Udupi secretary Faizul Udupi, Islami Hind women’s wing convener Kulsum Aboobaker were present.
