Bantwal, Aug 2: A district-level annual sports meet will be held under the aegis of the South Kanara Photographers Association (SKPA) here, on Sunday August 7.
A colourful procession of sports torches will be held from Polali welcome arch, B C Road, passing through Bantwal by-pass road at 8.30 pm on Sunday. Puttur ASP Dr Rohini Katoch will inaugurate the sports meet.
MLA Ramanath Rai will inaugurate the rural games on the silted field.
SKPA district president Shivaram Kadaba will preside over the programme.
Town councillor Dinesh Bhandary, the state Photographers’ Association president Shashidar, and dignitaries will be present on the occasion.
The Taluk Photographers’ Association organized a sports meet here in 2010, which was attended by many from the fraternity.
