Bantwal, Aug 3: The taluk committee of the state gram panchayat employees’ association sponsored by CITU staged a protest at B C Road on Tuesday August 2, urging the state

Bill collectors, clerks, attenders, data entry operators, and pump operators working in various gram panchayats across the taluk participated in the protest.

The protesters alleged that the officers are making them slog disregarding the circulars that are issued by the state government for the welfare of gram panchayat employees.The protesters demanded that they be paid the dearness allowances that are pending since three years, the provision of PF be implemented, as well as Janashree insurance scheme and other social benefits.

Association convener M Prabhu, Rama Poojary, and secretary Jayaram Master led the protest.
CITU district secretary Vasant Achary, BSNL temporary workers’ Association president Manohar Nerambolu, Raita Sangh leader B Narayan, and CITU taluk committee president Ramanna Vittal were present on the occasion.
