Mangalore: DVS Swearing-in – Elated People of Coast Celebrate

Mangalore, Aug 5: Fans and well-wishers of newly sworn in Chief Minister of Karnataka, D V Sadananda Gowda, as well as BJP activists from coastal districts, exulted at Gowda’s elevation as the 26th Chief Minister of Karnataka on Thursday evening. 

Reports about big celebrations taking place by way of raising of slogans, distributing sweets, bursting of crackers etc have come in from the city, Suratkal, Mulky, Bantwal, Vittal, Puttur, Sullia, Beltangdy, Udupi, Kundapur, Karkala, Chikmagalur, Shimoga, and many other places. People were heard hailing Gowda as ‘Putturda Muttu (pearl of Puttur).

Mangalore Bishop, Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, has also expressed happiness at the fact that Sadananda Gowda has become the state’s Chief Minister. He has wished that Gowda, who has an ever-smiling face, and who gives importance to maintaining good relationship with the common man, will be able to provide efficient administration to the state.

    Congrats,Our (UDUPI) BJP MP has elected CM of Karnataka State.I wish all the best for his future destination (Vision)to develop the state and i request our new CM to kindly take some step to stop Our District children to work in city like Mumbai and suffer like me.
