'Doing a patriotic song was on my wish list,' says Arjun Bijlani

Mumbai, Aug 12 (IANS):  Actor Arjun Bijlani, who is currently juggling both fiction show 'Pyar Ka Pehla Adhyaya: Shiv Shakti' and  reality show 'India's Got Talent', is seen in a patriotic song 'Vande Bharatam' crooned by Vishal Mishra.

The song has beautifully depicted the true picture of an army officer and his selfless family.

Arjun has also starred in numerous music videos such as Mithi Jahi, Saawariya, Dil Pe Zakhm, Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar among others but he feels this one is genuinely special.

Arjun said: "It's a patriotic song called Vande Bharatam in which I am playing an army officer, it's about a mother-son relationship and how the son goes to the border to fight for his country. It's a beautiful tribute to mothers and sons who fight for our country. This is more special to me because it's coming just before Independence Day."

He added: "Doing a patriotic song has been on my wish list. I think the song will connect with everyone, it has powerful lyrics and is sung by the versatile Vishal Mishra, one of the best singers in our country. It always gives me immense pride and pleasure to be in the uniform and shooting. I can only be a reel hero and our officers from army are the real heroes. Even to enact them for a music video for some time gives me immense pride and joy.

"I will be celebrating Independence Day in our building with my son Ayaan."

The actor shot to fame with the show Left Right Left and has never looked back since then.

His other popular shows include Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna, Kaali – Ek Punar Avatar, Naagin, Kavach... Kaali Shaktiyon Se, Ishq Mein Marjawan, and more.
