Udupi, Aug 25: Senior Citizens Group Manipal organized a financial planning and spiritual dimension of money talks to the members of the group on Wednesday August 25.

Harish B, business associate Motilal Oswal Securities Ltd inspired the members about the financial planning. He extensively spoke upon what wealth is and what investment is. He opined with numbers that more money can be made in stocks/mutual funds than investing in FD, gold, real estate. He also gave some useful tips to the audience.

B K Sowrabha, meditation coach Brahmakumaris Manipal centre spoke on the spiritual dimensions of money. In her speech, she emphasized that the power of virtue is more important than the power of money. She asserted that quality is needed along with money for virtue. “The source of monetization is also very important. Money is basically neither good nor bad. By its proper use, merit is possible. Contentment is true wealth. The one who says enough is a benefactor, the one who says he needs is poor. The message of sacred wealth: Be the owner of wealth and not a slave,” he said.

Both the speakers were honoured on the occasion. Sri Ram compered the programme.
