Udupi: Begging eradication drive – 15 beggars shifted to relief camp

Udupi, Sep 4: In order to prevent begging in the city in accordance with the Begging Prohibitory Act, 15 men beggars were shifted to refugee relief center Pacchanady Mangaluru by superintendent of the center, personnel and social worker Nityananda Volakadu.

The beggars were bothering public at places like Krishna Math, service bus stand, KSRTC bus stand and other public places of the city.

Nityananda Volakadu informed that district administration has taken this measure in order to prevent drunken brawls by beggars in the city.
