Bantwal: Kesaradanji Dina held at Adikolakke paddy field

Bantwal, Sep 4: Kesaradanji Dina 2023 which reflects the rural culture of Kolakeri of Kalladka Golthamajalu village was held at ADikolakke paddy field of Kolakeeru Bailu.

Speaking on the occasion, head of the village Ramesh Prabhu Kolakiru said, “This is a programme which is held to preserve the tradition of Tulunadu and also introducing the same to the next generation. In future also these type of programmes should be held to unite the people of the village.”

Nagesh Kalladka, honorary member of Netaji Yuvaka Mandala, who was the chief guest, said, “We have to remember the work of womenfolk of olden times, who used to do agricultural work along with the household work.”

Daivanartaka Rukmaya Nalike explained the history of every paddy field of Kolakeeru Bailu. 25 mothers who are in agricultural work for many years were felicitated on the occasion. Traditional games of Tulunadu were played on the occasion.

Guests of the programme included Vishwanatha Alva Bhandarada Mane, Sumana Dinesh Prabhu, Vishwanatha Kottary, Narasimha Madiwala, panchayat members Lakita R Shetty, Leelavathi, Vasappa Gowda, zonal president of Dharmastala rural development project Tulasi, dental doctor Dr Prashant Bhandary. Head teacher of Shamboor high school Kamalaksha Kottary were present.

In addition, Shivaprasad Kottary, Sujit Shetty, Jagadeesha Gowda, Prithviraj Alva, Prasad Kolakeeru, Vidya, Renuka and Usha were present.

Jagadish Master of Grama Vikasa committee did the introductory speech. Prof Navya Prashant Bhandary welcomed the guests. Kartik Shetty rendered vote of thanks. Gram panchayat member Rajesh Kottari compered the event.
