Bantwal: 91st annual Mosaru Kudike festival celebrated at Kalladka Sri Ram Mandir

Bantwal, Sep 7: The 91st annual Mosaru Kudike festival at Kalladka Sri Ram Mandir was joyously celebrated on Thursday, September 7. The event featured a grand procession of Sri Krishna accompanied by a captivating tableau, with the enthusiastic participation of devotees along the main roads.

Over 500 children dressed as Krishna and Yashodha graced the occasion, adding to the festive spirit. The cultural performances were a sight to behold, including a mesmerizing peacock dance by Shilpagombe Balaga, the reenactment of Gajasura Vadhe by Om Shakti Balaga, and Arunasura Vadhe by Kudrebettu Manikanta Yuvashaki. The rhythmic beats of drums by Hindu Parishat Bhajrang Dal, along with various still pictures, added to the visual spectacle. The event was graced by the presence of Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik, former MLA Padmanabha Kothari, and Sri Rama Vidyakendra president Narayana Somayaji.

The religious hall program was presided over by Sri Ramanjaneya Seva Trust president Dr Prabhakar Bhat, who provided insights into the significance of Mosaru Kudike. Subhaschandra Kalanja explained the historical and cultural importance of the festival.

The event was attended by chief secretary Nagesh Kalladka, president of Sri Rama Mandira Managing Committee Chennappa Kotian, secretary K Krishnappa, Pushparaja Shettigar from Sri Rama Seva Samithi, secretary Sujith Kothari, president of Sri Rama Bhajana Mandali Harish, secretary Uttam Palanir, and others.
