Bantwal, Sep 11: The BJP Raitha Morcha organized protests under the B C Road flyover to denounce the alleged anti-farmer policies and corrupt practices of the state Congress government.

Former Buda President Devadas Shetty criticized the government led by Siddaramaiah for discontinuing the Rs 4,000 assistance provided to farmers under the Kisan Samman project, which was initiated by former chief minister Yediyurappa. He also pointed out that the Vidyanidhi scheme, established during the term of Basavaraja Bommai, had been halted by the current government.

Shetty stated, "Several pro-farmer schemes initiated by the BJP government for the welfare of farmers have been discontinued by the Congress government as a result of vindictive politics."

The protest saw the participation of several prominent figures, including former MLA Padmanabha Kothary, District Chief Secretary Kasturi Panja, Bantwal Mandala BJP President Devappa Poojary, and many others.
