Udupi: Newly elected Congress supported panchayat presidents, vice-presidents felicitated

Udupi, Sep 12: Udupi district Congress committee and RGPRS held a programme to felicitate the newly elected and Congress supported panchayat presidents and vice-presidents in the district.

Member of Vidhana Parishat, Manjunath Bhandary asked the panchayat presidents and vice-presidents to utilise their authority and conduct development in their constituencies. “More programmes such as these will be held in the future. Participate in them in large numbers and strengthen the party. Minister for rural development and Panchayat Raj, information technology and biotechnology, Priyank Kharge will visit Mangaluru on October 3 and Udupi on October 4. Preparations are being made to hold a mass meeting of panchayat raj on October 4 in the district,” he said.
 








Udupi district Congress president Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, district Congress president Kishan Hegde Kolkebail, KPCC spokesperson Veronica Corneleo, Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Raj organisation district convener Roshni Olivera, Dr Sunita D Shetty, B Narasimhamurthy, Nagesh Udyavar, Dinesh Putran, Kushal Shetty, Geeta Vagle, Annayya Sherigar, block presidents Madan Kumar, Pradeep Shetty, Hariprasad Shetty, Shanker Kunder, Dinaker Heroor, Ramesh Kanchan, Prasad Raj Kanchan, Dinesh Hegde Molahalli, Rajiv Gandhi panchayat raj organisation district conveners, block conveners, gram panchayat conveners, current and former panchayat presidents and vice presidents were present.
