Sullia: Pigmy collector of Subrahmanya collapses to his death

Sullia, Sep 13: A well-known pigmy collector of a co-operative society in Subrahmanya collapsed to his death on Monday, September 11 in the night.

Subbaiah Shetty (47) is the deceased person, a resident of Kenya village and son of Chaalyaru late Ammu Shetty. He was working as a pigmy collector at Subramanya Adarsha Vividoddesha Sahakari Sangha.

When Subbaiah Shetty's family members grew worried that he had not reached home they went out searching for him. The family members found him lying on the road. He was then taken to a hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead.

Subbaiah was working as a pigmy collector at the Subramanya Adarsha Vividoddesha Sahakari Sangha for many years and was well-known to people in Panja and Subrahmanya.
