Kundapur, Sep 13: “The part played by educational institutions in providing value based education to students is immense. The responsibility of teachers grows when good teachers are identified and felicitated,” said retired education officer Shedimane Gopala Shetty.

He was speaking after inaugurating the programme of honouring teachers and receiving honour at Yadadi Matyadi Excellent and Little Star English medium school.

Sujnyan Education trust secretary Bharath Shetty said that teachers take a prominent role for special achievements of students. “A teacher is important just like education. Teachers increase confidence, make dreams a reality and create enthusiasm in learning,” he said.

Excellent and Little Star School teachers were felicitated. Retired education officer, Shedimane Gopala Shetty, recipient of the award for being one of the best teachers on national level was honoured.

Sujnyan education trust president Ramesh Shetty presided over the programme. Trust secretary Pratap Chandra Shetty and principal of the school, Augustine K A were present. Teacher Preeti welcomed. Rajath Bhat proposed a vote of thanks.
