Yediyurappa leaves for Delhi for BJP's CEC meeting


Bengaluru, Sep 13 (IANS): BJP Central Parliamentary Committee Member B. S. Yediyurappa on Wednesday left for New Delhi to attend party's Central Election Committee(CEC) meeting.

Talking to reporters before leaving for Delhi, Yediyurappa said issue of an alliance with the JD(S) in the state will also be discussed in the meeting.

"The Election Committee meeting will be held today in New Delhi. I have been invited to the meeting and will come back on Thursday," he said.

Yediyurappa further said the meeting will discuss the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

"The final decision on alliance with JD(S) will be taken by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. We will abide by the decision,” he said.

"Today the all party meeting had been called by the ruling Congress. I was also invited. But, I had to leave for New Delhi. So, I have informed that I won't be able to attend the meeting. Other leaders would participate in the meeting," he stated.
