Udupi, Sep 16: The welcome committee, office and logo prepared as a prelude for Paryaya festival of Puthige math for 2024 were inaugurated by Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade.
Raghupati Bhat in his introductory address said that 21 committees are already formed and meetings are held under the guidance of Swamiji. “It is decided to start the procession under directions from Swamiji from the welcome tower constructed during the term of last Paryaya. The lighting decorations will be started from Dandatheertha bathing lake. As large numbers of devotees are expected, suitable arrangements are planned after vacating by house owners. We are expecting an expenditure of Rs five crore. We have requested national banks and finance companies to extend funds under CSR for the purpose,” he said.
Welcome committee president Dr H S Ballal said that the message of Paryaya should spread to the corners of the world besides undivided Dakshina Kannada. “Several committees are formed to celebrate the Paryaya for 2024 with pomp and gaiety. It is possible to join the committees even now. Those who are interested can join them,” he said.
Honorary president Dr Veerendra Heggade said, “We say that the world is a small village. One can reach any area in the world within 24 hours. Under the circumstances, the message of Sri Krishna should spread to the world during the Paryaya. There are fights and destruction in various parts of the world. Therefore, the message of peace by Sri Krishna should spread to the corners of the world. There are plans to make Bhagavad Geetha as a management course. There are no problems without answers. The concern for the world should grow among us. Let us pray for peace and prosperity everywhere. Udupi is famous for guest hospitality. We have facilities. We will provide 25 rooms at SDM Ayurvedic hospital for the stay of guests. Activists of rural development project also are prepared for all the varieties of services. Let the current Paryaya be the real Paryaya.”
Dr Veerendra Heggade released the official logo of Paryaya 2024 and QR code. The official letter as honorary president was handed over to Dr Veerendra Heggade.
