Udupi: B Krishna Receives ‘Chayaspoorti Award’

Udupi, Aug 20: “We ought to change with the times,” municipal commissioner Gokuldas Nayak urged photojournalists while conferring the ‘Chayaspoorti Award’ on B Krishna, owner of Basant Studio at Malpe, near here, during World Photography Day celebrations held on Friday August 19.
 
The award was given to Krishna for his many decades of professional contributions by the Udupi Press Photojournalists Association (UPPA).


 

Hemanath Padubidri, Durgaprasad Kadiyali, Ganesh Kallianpur, Karunakar Kanangi, Mangalore, and others were present on the occasion.
 
UPPA president Astro Mohan delivered the introductory address.  Vice-president Janardhan Kodavoor compered the programme.
