Mumbai: Ganiga Samaja celebrates 26th anniversary

Mumbai, Oct 2: The 26th anniversary celebrations of Ganiga Samaja were presided over by Safalya Seva Sangha president Srinivas P Safalya at Gokula Saraswati auditorium, Sion Gokula on Sunday morning, October 1.

Somakshatriya Ganiga Samaja Bengaluru president H T Narasimha inaugurated the day long religious, cultural and social programmes chaired by Ganiga Samaja Mumbai president B V Rao. BSKBA vice president Vaman Holla and Somakshatriya Ganiga Samaja Barkur Udupi president Suryanarayana Ganiga were the guests of honour. GSM honorary president Kutpady Ramachandra M Ganiga, vice president Vijayendra Ganiga, honorary secretary Chandrashekar R Ganiga, ladies wing president Tara Bhatkal and Sadananda A Kallianpur were on the dais.

GSM Youth wing president Ganesh Kutpady was present. The dignitaries felicitated Sadananda A Kallianpur and Chandrashekar R Ganiga for their valuable service to the organization and Srinivas P Safalya for his religious and social service. SSC and HSC toppers of Ganiga samaja were distributed scholarships. Monetary funds were handed over to economically weaker children. Srinivas Ganiga and Sheela Srinivas distributed school stationery to children and encouraged them.

Udayakumar Udupi of Canara Ice, Rathnaker Shetty of Vishang Inn, Gopal Ganiga of 4G, Prema S Rao, GSM joint secretary Jagadish Ganiga, Vidyodaya Samithi president Balakrishna Ganiga, Vinayaka Bhatkal and other members were present.

Ladies wing members sang a prayer. U Balachandra Rao Katpady welcomed. Vijayendra Ganiga gave a keynote address. B V Rao, Dinesh Ganiga, Ganesh R Kutpady, Jagadish Ganiga, Veena Dinesh Ganiga and others presented flower bouquets to the guests and honoured them. Mamatha D Rao introduced the guests and compered the programme, Ganesh Kutpady rendered a vote of thanks.
