Mumbai: Vasai Konkani Welfare association celebrates Monthi Fest

Mumbai, Oct 4: Vasai Konkani Welfare Association celebrated their 16th Monthi Fest at Vishwakarma Hall, Vasai on September 16.

Prominent among the guests were Fr Peter Pereira, head of Carmelite Charitable Society Rajodi Nalasopara, association advisor Jossy Menezes, former presidents John D’ Souza, Ancy Palaadka, Stephan Fernandes, current committee president Reginald Santhmayer, secretary Albert D’ Costa and treasurer Henry Pinto.

The programme started with a short procession with prayer dance by children. It was followed by prayer by vice president Hida D’ Souza and variety cultural programmes like dances, skits, singing etc.

Children of association members who secured more than 75% marks in 10th and 12th standard and made a name in extra curricular activities were felicitated. Masala milk mixed with Noven was served to all. Fr Peter Pereira blessed the Noven Jevan.

Joint secretary Jacinta Ambrose and coordinator conducted the stage programme. Oliver D’ Souza Anjelore compered the cultural stage programme. Reginald Santhmayer proposed a vote of thanks.
