Mumbai, Oct 5: “Looking for livelihood for Kannadigas in Mumbai is challenging. Maintaining the attachment for Kannada brings us joy. We also have the responsibility to live in harmony with Marathi speaking people here. We obtain enthusiasm from senior authors who encourage us to write during their visits. The presence of young poets here is the success of the programmes such as this,” said author Gopal Trasi. He was speaking in the Horanadu Kannadigana Hadu Padu programme held in
Mumbai recently.

Senior author and dramatist Sathish Kulkarni inaugurated the programme. Young poet Devaraj Hunasikatte speaking about Bechara Shaharu book written by Trasi said that the poems show that Trasi is a lively poet.

Programme organizer, president of Akhila Bharata Sahitya Parishad Haveri district, Maruti Shidlapur who presided over the programme said that programmes such as this enables us to know the authors from various places and to know their works.

Devaraja Hunasikatti, Daneshwari Shiggavi, Anupama Negaloor, H Sudha and Rajeshwari Tirumale read their poems in the poet’s discussions.

Author Shivananda Kalakonda speaking about the book ‘Otrasi Prasangagalu’ by Gopala Trasi said that the author has written several incidents of life in light comedy.

Sharana Sahitya Parishat taluk unit president H C Kallanagowda, city unit president professor C Manjunath, honorary president Ravi Babu Poochara, Kadali ladies forum’s Shivagangakka, Rekha Shettara, author Prabhu Gurappanara, Deepa Gonala and others were present.
