Bangalore: Man Hangs Self After Wife's Paramour Threatens him

Bangalore, Aug 21 (DHNS): A 28-year-old man hanged himself to death after his wife’s paramour threatened him with dire consequences.

Padmabhushan, a civil contractor, was found hanging from a ceiling fan hook at his residence in Doddabale Colony near Kengeri on Saturday.

The police recovered a detailed death note written by the victim. They told Deccan Herald that Padmabhushan got married to his wife after a long courtship.

Since there was opposition from both the sides, the two got married and started living separately in a rented house. All was well until Kumar an ex-serviceman moved in as their neighbour and often started dropping into their house on the pretext of overseeing the construction activities. Padmabhushan objected to his wife getting friendly with Kumar and during the first week of August, she went missing.

When his search went in vain, he enquired with Kumar.  The ex-servicemen threatened him and slapped Padmabhushan.

He also abused and told him not to attempt getting back his wife. Upset and scared by the turn of events, Padmabhushan took the extreme step.

It is learnt that Padmabhushan had hanged himself on August 17, but the incident came to light on Saturday when the building owner went to his house.

The locality police confirmed that it is a clear case of ‘abetment’ and are in search for Padmabhushan’s wife. Meanwhile, Kumar is being interrogated.
