Kasargod: Student travelling by bus dies after his head crashes against roadside light pole

Kasargod, Oct 18: A heart-wrenching incident unfolded on the outskirts of Kasargod on Wednesday, October 18, resulting in the unfortunate death of a student who was returning home from school by bus after a shocking collision with a roadside light pole.

The victim, 15-year-old Manvith, hailed from Manippady and was a student at Chemnad Jamath Higher Secondary School. This tragic incident occurred as he was heading home on a bus bound for Madhur after concluding his school day.

During the journey, a fateful moment transpired near Karandakkad when Manvith's head which was out of the bus window collided with a roadside light pole. The impact of the collision left him unconscious, and he was immediately rushed to a local hospital. Despite the medical team's best efforts, Manvith succumbed to his injuries and failed to respond to treatment.

His body has been transferred to the morgue at Kasargod General Hospital.

The local authorities in Kasargod have initiated an investigation into this grievous incident.
