Mangalore: ‘Collect Student Passes in 15 Days’ – Bus Owners Association

Mangalore, Aug 24: Canara Bus Owners Association has asked the students to obtain their bus passes within 15 days to be able to get a concession of 50 percent on bus fare.

Through a release issued by president of the association, Rajavarma Ballal and general secretary, P Bhaskar Salian, it said that the bus passes were being issued since June this year, and that 15 more days’ time has been given to the students to get them. It has asked the students to collect passes without fail, to be able to get concession in bus fare. “During checking, those not holding bus passes will have to pay full fare. From September 8 onwards, thorough checking will take place in all routes in the two districts,” the association said.

It also has said through a release that coupons at discounted rates are available for daily commuters on the national highway route between Mangalore, Kundapur, Udupi, and Manipal. These coupons are available at the counters opened for issuing student passes, the association has clarified.

The counters where these passes are available are located at service bus stand, Mangalore, Poojashree Complex, opposite Murdeshwar Ceramics, Udupi, Durgamba Motors, Hanglur, Kundapur, M/s Nishmita Motors, Moodbidri, M/s Sarala Motors, Anantashayana, Karkala, and Mahalasa Travels, B C Road.
