Santosh Hegde Taunts Kumaraswamy Over Personal Attack

Bangalore, Aug 27 (IANS) Former Karnataka Lokayukta N. Santosh Hegde and former chief minister H.D. Kumaraswamy were Saturday locked in an ugly spat over their personal lives.

"Santosh Hegde has only one wife for the last 42 years and only one house," Hegde said, responding to Kumaraswamy's remarks about the former Supreme Court judge's so-called "night life".

"Before asking (questions to) others, one should look at one's own life," Hegde told a cheering crowd at the Freedom Park here where people are backing Anna Hazare's campaign against corruption.

Hegde has indicted Kumaraswamy for alleged illegal mining. The Janata Dal-Secular leader has denied the allegation.

Appearing in a programme of a Kannada TV channel, Kumaraswamy asked: "How much Hegde spends on his night life, who pays for it, can someone pay for such things from one's salary? Will he give an account of it?."

The 71-year-old Hegde also said he had not taken or paid even one rupee as bribe.

Hegde's report on illegal mining led to the fall of the B.S. Yeddyurappa government. Hegde, whose term as Lokayukta ended Aug 2, is a member of the civil society led by Hazare.

    For any good changes to happen- we need good people. The politics is rot in all the countries. But good people in power always generates good results. It is high time Sri.Antosh Hegde join the politics and be our good leader to bring about good changes. I wish to recall even Mr.Narayan Murthy was asked to enter Politics by the Singapore Prime minister, when Mr.Narayana Murthy told he cannot do that job then the prime minister told -' Good people are required to bring about good changes '

    first of all, Kumarswamy have no moral to be a public representative, i don't how he can make false statements against santhose hegde? People like HDK should slapped with older slippers till death to clean the state and country from this dictators and criminals. His wife support kumarswamy to have an illegal affair with radhika, just because he can handle any number of wives with his family's ill-gotten and massive wealth. Such a family is really a curse for the citizens of this country. They should be hanged publicly.

    Dear Hegdeji you are true hero of this country ever produced.always fighting for the benefit of poor,middle class and downtrodden.Filthy politicians like HD Kumaraswamy always exhibits their true colour by using filthy languages only.It shows their integrity,credentials and personality.Naayiya Baala yestu varsha Handeyalli Haakidharu kooda adhu Donke,nettage aagalikke sadhyave illa.These are the qualities inherited from none other than his own fathr only.Hats off Hegde sir,You are great human being.Criminals like HDK talks in their own way because that is their own experience,suspecting on others also.How much money he might have spent for his night enjoyments?Can he produce his bill in front of his wife anitha?

    Till now Kumaraswamy was targeting BJP and Yeddi in particular. Now he is clear that he will also go behind the bar with Yeddi. So he stopped targeting Yeddi, took on Mr Santhosh Hegde now. He is like a toothless snake now.

    Well said Mr.Hedge. You are truly a hero. These corrupt politician, govt corrupt officials, police department, Income tax dept, customs dept are corrupt. God know when these corruption will be cleaned from India.. Annaji, Hegdeji are fighting for good cause and people support only makes it stronger and defeat these corrupt bjp, jds, congress leader rather wupporting them. We need true leader like Anaa, Hegde to run the country and to prosper.

    HDK seems to now have turned vindictive to former Lokayukta. After all, he was playing with fire, when talking about illegal mining, because while BSY was guilty, so were he and a host of other Congress politicians.
