Bangalore: Konkani Catholics of Hennur to Celebrate ‘Monti Fest’ on Sep 8

Bangalore, Aug 29: The Konkani Catholic community of Hennur will celebrate Monti Fest during a Holy Mass at Sadupadesha Seminary, Hennur Road, at 9.15 am on Thursday September 8.

Capuchin former Provincial and Kengeri Shanthi Sadan director Fr Jossy Fernandes will offer the festal Holy Mass on Thursday morning.

Children will shower flowers in honour of Infant Mary on the occasion.

Blessed paddy sheaves and sugarcane will be distributed to the families besides refreshments to all. Konkani Catholics residing in the area are urged to attend the special festal occasion.

The celebration is being organized in order to provide a traditional Mangalorean flavour to the minority Konkani community in the metro.
