Mangalore: ‘Best Mid-size Public Sector Bank’ Award Conferred

Mangalore, Sep 14: Corporation Bank has been adjudged the ‘Best Mid-size Public Sector Bank’ in the Best Banks and Financial Institution Awards instituted by CNBC-TV18 and sponsored by MCX for the financial year 2011.

The award was handed over to Ramnath Paradeep, chairman and managing director of the bank by union minister for corporate affairs, Dr M Veerappa Moily, at an impressive ceremony organized at Mumbai on September 12. Executive directors of the bank, Narendra Singh and Ashwani Kumar, were with the chairman at the time of receiving the award.

While picking the winner, eminent personalities from various fields looked into various parameters like robust growth, profitability, capital ratios, investor and customer care etc. It may be recalled that the bank had recently won a national award for its performance under granting loans and advances to small enterprises.
