Mangalore, Sep 16: The fasting, prayer, and adoration were held at Holy Cross parish, Cordel, from Monday September 12 to Wednesday September 14 to mark the church attack incidents and urge the state government to withdraw the cases registered against innocent Christian youth.

Different wards of this vast parish conducted a one-hour fasting prayer and adoration in turns, which culminated in a night vigil from 9.00 pm on Wednesday September 14 to 5.30 am on Thursday September 15.

The night vigil prayer and adoration was presided over by the diocesan vicar general Monsignor Denis Moras Prabhu and conducted by Fr Roman Pinto, Brother T K George, and Brother William. Both the events were well-attended by parishioners on the occasion.

Brother T K George’s two religious DVDs ‘Jezuch Dev’ and ‘Punaruthan Yesu’ were released during the programme.

Cordel parish priest Fr Valerian Pinto, assistant parish priests Fr John Baptist Moras and Fr Melvyn Noronha, parish council vice-president Praveen Patrao, and secretary George D’Souza were present.

Sushil Noronha compered the DVD release programme.

Well Organised with very good preachings by Rev.Fr. Roman Pinto,Bro.T.K. George and very good singing/organ played by Bro.William. Please make this as an annual event hereafter so that God will shower many blessings to our parishners. God bless all who worked to make this event successful. We really hope God will answer our prayers soon.
