Mangalore: Intercollegiate Chess Tournament Held at AJ Institute of Medical Sciences

Mangalore, Sep 16: Mysore Zonal Intercollegiate Chess Tournament 2011-12 was held by the  Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore at AJ Institute of Medical Sciences on Tuesday September 13.

The chess tournament was inaugurated by the vice-president of LMET, Prashanth Shetty. The chief guest of the occasion was associate dean of AJIMS, Dr P P Devan. Sports advisor of AJIMS Dr Rithin Suvarna and physical education director of AJIMS Harish Gowda were present.
 
The prize distribution of the tournament was held on Wednesday September 14. The prizes were distributed by dean of AJIMS Dr Ramesh Pai.

AJ Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalore is the winner of the tournament and AJ Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore the runners up.

Administrative officer of AJIMS Dayanand Shetty was present.
