Mangalore, Sep 17: Guruvappa Balepuni, experienced reporter of Kannada daily Hosa Diganta has been chosen for the prestigious national-level Sarojini Naidu award.
An article written by Balepuni, 'Idkidu gram panchayat published on June 14, has won the award.
For the first time ever a Kannada journalist has won this award sponsored by Hunger Project.
The award possesses a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh and a memento. The presentation ceremony will be held in Delhi on October 2.
