Karkala, Sep 18: In a bizarre incident that occurred at Kanthavara village here, an old fellow was murdered by a man for scolding his wife using unethical words on Friday September 16.
The murdered man is Rama Moolya (65). The man named Shekhara Moolya (45) murdered him for scolding his wife Malathi (40) with bad language.
It is gathered that Rama Moolya used to frequently visit the couple’s house and used to always scold the lady with foul words under the influence of alcohol. On Friday too when he did the same the couple tied his hands and legs and brutally killed him using sickle and other weapons which were there at home.
After committing the crime the couples went to old man Rama Moolya’s house and told his family that they killed him and his body is there lying in front of their house. The couple were later arrested.
