Moodbidri, Oct 4: The Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R), Paladka Unit conducted an elocution competition for children and adults of the community belonging to Paladka Parish on Sunday October 2 at the church premises.

The competition was held for different age groups from class one to class 10 upto an age group of 25 years.There were four categories with four different subjects.

In the first session the competition was conducted wardwise in Konkani language as per the guidelines laid down by Catholic Sabha. As soon as the first session was concluded there was an informal get together of the participants, parents and parishioners.

Parish priest Fr Gilbert D'Souza, vice president Andrew D'Souza, secretary Victor A D'Souza of the parish pastoral parishad and the office bearers of the Catholic Sabha, joined by the gurkars/gurkarnis of the various wards were on the dais.

The president of the Catholic Sabha, Hilar D'Souza explained the purpose behind this programme and lauded the support extended by the parish priest, vice president and secretary as well as the gurkars/gurkarnis of the wards.
