Mumbai: MNS, Shiv Sena and Auto Drivers Clash on Streets

Daijiworld Media Network - Mumbai

Mumbai, Oct 6: After the auto drivers in the city demanded a fare hike, there was a ruckus created on the streets between the auto rickshaw drivers and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) along with Shiv Sena.

Taking law into their hands, members of both the parties thrashed around and destroyed several autos across the city.

Reports also say that in some parts of the city, auto rickshaw drives were burnt by the activists.

Also, a few members of the Shiv Sena forced a group of drivers in Ghatkopar to install electronic meters.

Shiv Sena MP, Sanjay Raut said, "The incidents in Bandra and Vile Parle were orchestrated by Shiv Sena. Drivers who behave arbitrarily have been taught a lesson."At least 10 arrests have been made for indulging in violence.

Do you know the auto drivers demand???
1.The fare should give them 25000/- monthly.
    2.State government employee status.

Now i think you will also buy one auto..

MNS and Shiv Sena are the black spots for India. They do nothing for Marathi or for Maharashtra they do only for their own vote bank. If Auto drivers are asking to increase the fare, can Raj Thakre will think once on this demand? May be due to high inflation they also want to survive and earn money to take care of their family.
Congress as usual is failing in Mumbai also on Raj Thakrey and Shiv Sena like any other issues of India.

Raj and Bal Thackrey are loonies who are bent to destroy India's social fabric and sully the name of a great city Mumbai. But real culprit in this all are successive state govts which have consistently failed to act on repeated and brazen flouting of laws by these two thugs and their cadre.
I am afraid if such tendencies are not halted by proper action by govt then in every part of India such crooks will create troubles for their political gains and concept of united India will vanish. Auto drivers issue may have its own merit or demerit but MNS and Shiv Sena are attacking North Indian Auto wallahs for forthcoming BMC elections.

Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS0 both are anti Hindi , Hindu Hindustan. They always target poor hindi speaking people. They terrorize our hindi speaking brother who have come to Mumbai and Mahasashtra for their livelihood. Why government is tolerating this? Native people are one and language, dress , religion can not divide native people of India. We will not tolerate such politics of Congress, NCP, Shiv Sena and MNS any more.

In my opinion ShivSena & MNS are doing right thing by teaching a lesson to arogent Auto Rickshaw drivers. Often these drivers are troubling & misbehaving with passengers. I have experienced this often at Airport.

Fare hike's demand by auto driver should be discussed among state Ruling party over justification.but action of opposite state party with auto driver is like Naxlite one who attacks on weaker society.Taking Law into hand by oppostion party should be prevented by Govt.

The fault lies with general public also.Even able-bodied persons do not want to commute short distances thus depending heavily on autos.you can normally see persons do not get down and cross the road across.Instead they sit in the auto and take a long U turn.Such is the lethargy that auto drivers take advantage. If only we develop the habit of using our feet whenever we can we may be able to reduce the ransom.

After all we all are indians, this type of regional mentality will destroy the image of great marathi culture. This is a high time not to fight among brothers, rather think, act for more devolpment & prosperity of Maharastra.MNS,Siva Sena must learn something from the Great Anna.Every thing can be resolved through disscusion not by the act of goondaism which always to be condemed.

Violence is not a very appreciable act but at times this the only resort left - I am sure that the auto drivers must have crossed all limits to have envisaged such a retalliation. The fact remains that they are a menace and a nuisance value. Over charging , tamperinging with the meter, taking the passengers for a ride is their birthright - I am very happy that atleast one political party in the Country had the political will to rope in such people and teach them a lesson. They actually deserve it. There may be a couple of honest auto drivers but I am sure they would be exceptions and can be counted on fingers.
Wish there was a Raj Thackeray in Calcutta and Delhi as well.
I lend all moral support to him and his party
