Karkala, Oct 7: Reports said that a naxal gang has started moving around a number of villages falling within Hebri police station limits since the last some days. The news comes within weeks of a comprehensive combing operation launched by the police department to root out the menace.
The gang, it is said, visited different spots in Kabbinale, Nadpal, and other villages. Mundani, Beerabettu, and Peetbail in Kabbinale, and Tengamar, Vanajar, and Koodlu are the spots visited by the gang. Locals said that the gang had eight members.
The Anti Naxal Force is camping in Hebri. The force is preparing to launch another combing operation and other steps to scout for naxals and rid the element of fear from the minds of the people.
