Mangalore: CSI Kanthi Church Celebrates Harvest Festival

Mangalore, Oct 12: CSI Kanthi church celebrated the Harvest Festival in Jeppu, here on Wednesday October 12.

Harvest festival is celebrated as annual thanksgiving day where the members of the church offer first fruits of the harvest. The festival is inspired by the Word of God prompting believers to set aside a tenth of the harvest produced each year.

The service was led by Fr Winfred Amanna. The Word of God was ministered by Fr Premkumar Soans.The Harvest Festival Sports Committee will be holding a prize distribution programme for the winners of the Annual Athletic Sports meet that was held recently at Cascia High School Ground, Jeppu here.  The prize distribution programme will be held at 6 pm on Wednesday at Kanthi church compound.

Presbyter-in-charge Fr Winfred J Amanna will preside and Presbyter-in-charge of St Paul's church, here and treasurer of CSI, KSD Premkumar Soans will be the chief guest.
