Mangaluru: National conference on ancient Sanskrit literature at Srinivas University on May 11

Mangaluru, May 10: Srinivas Yoga-Sanskrit studies & Research centre of Srinivas University will organise a day-long national level conference on contribution & application of ancient Sanskrit literature in modern India on May 11.

The programme will be inaugurated by Vidyasagara Theerhta Sripadaru – Jagadguru Madwachacarya Moola Mahasamstana, Krishnapura math Udupi at 10 am at Srinivas University, Mukka. Chancellor Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao will preside over the programme. Dr A Srinivas Rao – pro chancellor, Vijayalakhsmi R Rao – trustee member, Prof Mitra S Rao trustee member also will be the guest of honour in the programme. Dr K Satyanarayan Reddy, vice chancellor of the university, registrars Dr Anil Kumar, Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D and Dr Ajay Kumar will be in the programme. Dr Praveen B M is the Convener of the programme.

Around 50 research articles in sanskrit from various parts of the country will be presented in the conference and will be published in the refereed journal. There will be scholarly lectures from the luminaries on the contribution & application of ancient Sanskrit literature in modern India. Main themes of the conference will be:

1. Sanskrit on Health Sciences
2. Sanskrit on Architecture and Urban planning
3. Sanskrit and Astronomy
4. Sanskrit on Agriculture and Environment conservation
5. Sanskrit and Modern Technical Science
6. Sanskrit and Future planning
7. Sanskrit and Psychology

This conference is held in continuation of the first world Sanskrit Sammelana held on February 2023 from Srinivas University. The main aim of the conference is the vision of the chancellor Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao to Reach Sanskrit to common people and it should not perish from the society. Sanskrit is the Mother language for all the languages. It is inculcated in the culture and tradition of our country. In this conference, four parallel sessions will be conducted for all the scholars. There will be good interaction between scholars and Sanskrit Literature enthusiastic. The few titles of the conference are: 

1. Contribution and Application of Ancient Sanskrit Literature in Modern India
2. Yogic Practices and Mysticism in the Bhagavata Pura?
3. Sri Krishna’s Direction for a Healthy Life
4. Sanskrit and Modern Science
5. Agriculture science
