Bangalore, Oct 15: Former ministers, B Sriramulu, and Gali Karunakar Reddy, arrived in the city on Friday October 16 and held consultations with their supporters. The development, coming close on the heels of the acceptance of Sriramulu’s resignation to the membership of state assembly, and at a time when the government is taking initiatives to give the Lokayukta report on illegal mining a decent burial albeit through dubious means, has raised many eyebrows.

The duo, which came in from Bellary on Friday morning, held a series of meetings with MLAs who have pledged support to them. In addition, they also consulted some legal luminaries. It is learnt that Sriramulu returned to Bellary on Friday evening.

Both the leaders chose not to meet the Chief Minister, D V Sadananda Gowda, who was in the city at the time. They also did not meet any part functionaries. Details of their discussions could not be ascertained.
