Mangalore: National Seminar ‘Samprathi-2011’ Held at St Aloysius College

Mangalore, Oct 19: St Aloysius College (Autonomous) MSW department and Karnataka Regional Organization for social Service organized ‘Samprathi-2011’ based on the theme ‘Sustainable development: Towards a self reliant India’.

The chief guest of the occasion was Dr Sudarshan, director of Karuna Trust and VGKK, Bangalore.

Gerald D’silva, lecturer of MSW department of St Aloysius College and convener of National seminar Samprathi 2001, welcomed the gathering.

Derald D’Silva spoke about the four pillars of sustainable development, importance of protecting bio-diversity and promoting values.

Fr Joseph Ignatius Rodrigues SJ, rector, Fr Swebert D’silva, principal of St Aloysius college, Dr Loveena Lobo, Head Of Department of MSW department St Aloysius College among others were present.
