For Arjun Bijlani, Nikki Sharma badminton is 'official break-time ritual' on set

Mumbai, Jun 3 (IANS): Actors Arjun Bijlani and Nikki Sharma, who play the leads in the show 'Pyar Ka Pehla Adhyaya: Shiv Shakti', have recently decided to take breaks between shots and energise themselves by playing badminton.

The duo had loads of fun as badminton acted as a stress buster for them.

Talking about the same, Arjun, who plays Shiv, said: "After shooting for our show every day, there are times when we all need a little break. So, we decided to do something different recently. Nikki and I said that it had to be fun but, at the same time, good for our health. That is why we bought a badminton game set and played on set, between our shots."

"Nikki gave me stiff competition, but thanks to all the practice I regularly get with my son, I was all set to beat her to it. Now badminton is our official break-time ritual; it's a great addition to our workout routine," he added.

Nikki, who essays the character of Shakti, shared: "Arjun and I have decided to try out new activities to stay fit on the set, rather than just sit in our makeup rooms. So, after giving it some thought, we came up with the idea of playing badminton in our break time."

"We definitely had a lot of fun, he is really good at the game, but I’m pretty competitive myself. I believe these little things we get to do on the set with our co-stars keep our bonds stronger and motivate us to keep going," she added.

The viewers recently got to see how the family decides to send Shiv to the mental hospital after he unintentionally pushes Dadi from the stairs, but Shakti saves him and decides to leave the house. While Shiv and Shakti are on their way to Shakti’s aunt Manorama’s (Nimisha Vakaria) house, Keertan (Gaurav Wadhwa) decides to kidnap Shakti because he wants to be with her.

It will be interesting for viewers to see how Shiv will save Shakti from Keertan.

'Pyar Ka Pehla Adhyaya: Shiv Shakti' airs every Monday to Sunday at 7 p.m. on Zee TV.
