Puttur: Bike Rider Dies in Accident

Puttur, Oct 22: Satish (38), who used to trade in poultry birds, died after his two-wheeler collided with an oncoming bus on Friday October 21.

The incident occurred at Kallarpe in Aryapu village on Puttur-Sullia highway. A Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus moving towards Sullia hit the motor bike that was being driven towards Puttur. Satish suffered serious head injuries in the accident. He died while being taken to a hospital in Mangalore for treatment.

Reportedly, Satish was a native of Tamil Nadu. He stayed in a rented house at Darbe here, and was involved in poultry business. More details about the deceased are not available. A report was registered in the rural police station in the town about the incident.
