Bantwal: Thunder, Lightning Leave Trail of Damage Across Taluk

Bantwal, Oct 26: Widespread damage has been reported from across the taluk due to the untimely rains coupled with thunder and lightning that was witnessed over the past couple of days in the evenings.

A woman was critically wounded due to lightning in Kasba village in Vittal, near here, and electrical gadgets were fully burnt in two homes nearby.  The wounded woman was admitted to a private hospital in Puttur, where she is recovering.
