Bantwal: MLA Rai Urges Efforts to Ensure Success of Kannada Sahitya Sammelan

Bantwali, Oct 27: “It’s everyone’s duty to promote Kannada and they should work for the success of the forthcoming Kannada Sahitya Sammelan in order to create general awareness for the sustenance of Kannada,” said MLA Ramanath Rai.

He was speaking after inaugurating the 17th Dakshina Kannada (DK) district Kannada Sahitya Sammelan reception office located at Vittal gram panchayat auditorium, on Wednesday October 26. 

The Sammelan will be held at Alike on November 18 to November 19. DK district Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Pradeep Kumar Kalkura presided over the programme.

Alike Satya Sai Lok Seva Trust chairman U Gangadhar Bhat, secretary Eshwar Bhat, taluk panchayat member Juliyana Mary Lobo, Usha K, Alike gram panchayat president Kana Eshwar Bhat, Vittal gram panchayat vice-president Shanta S Bhat, and welcome committee chief secretary Udayashankar Nirpaje were present on the dais. Vittal gram panchayat president Ramanat Vittal welcomed the gathering. 

Anantakrishna Hebbar delivered the introductory address.  Parishat secretary proposed the vote of thanks.  Alike Satya Sai High School headmaster Raghu T Y compered the programme.
