Mangalore: Iskcon Celebrates 'Go Pooja' With Traditional Fervour, Uniqueness

Mangalore, Oct 28: The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Iskcon) celebrated Go Pooja and `Govardhan Pooja'  at Subrahmanya Sabha on Jail Road here on Thursday October 27 at 6 pm.

The programme  commenced with feeding of grass and fruits to cows.












































The display of 150 kilogram cake representing Govardhan Hill was the unique attraction on the occasion. The 100% vegetarian cake was distributed later to devotees.

Chanting of Bajans was followed by arathi, which was allowed for devotees to perform individually.

Tulsi plant representing Govardhana giri was set up at the dias. Large number of devotees gathered on the occasion to pay special respect to the cows.
