Udupi, Oct 28: The pilgrimage journey of Mangalore diocesan post centenary silver jubilee Holy Cross arrived at St John Evangelist parish, Pangala, near here, from Holy Cross parish, Pamboor, on Wednesday October 26.
The Holy Cross is on a pilgrimage to 160 parishes across the diocese to commemorate the post centenary silver jubilee of the founding of Mangalore diocese.
Pamboor parish priest Fr Charles Lewis, office-bearers of parish council including the large gathering of parishioners, and Pangala parish priest Fr Leslie Rego were present on the occasion.
Fr Charles Lewis conducted the liturgical service in honour of the Holy Cross that was placed for veneration till Friday October 28 evening. The Holy Cross will make its onward journey to Our Lady of Health parish, Shirva.
