Mangalore, Oct 28: Both Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts got good rain on Thursday October 27 evening. The rainfall was particularly heavy in Beltangady, Sullia, Udupi, and  Kundapur taluks. Other taluks received normal rainfall, although thunder and lightning remained a common phenomenon at all these places.

Wiring of a house in Beluvai Moodayikad, belonging to Shyama Salian, was burnt due to lightning.In this incident,  cow owned by Sharada Poojarthi, which was in a cowshed nearby, lost its life.
