Udupi, Oct 29: Out of four youth who visited Kaup beach on Friday October 28 evening, one lost his life due to drowning. He has been identified as Sudhakar Acharya (19), son of Gopal Acharya, from Uchchila Bada village.
Four friends had come together to the beach for fun. Sudhakar’s friend, Chetan Poojary, too was facing grave danger, after being unable to release himself from the strong draught of water. People in the speed boat rushed to his rescue, and succeeded.
Search operation for Sudhakar’s body is on.
