Haryana, Jul 8: Gaurav Kaushal resigned from his position as an IAS officer after 12 years to become a mentor for UPSC aspirants.

Gaurav, born and raised in Haryana, was studious from a young age. He joined IIT Delhi after successfully cracking the IIT-JEE examinations. He completed his schooling in Panchkula. Although Gaurav joined IIT Delhi, he left the prestigious institute to enrol in BITS Pilani for a BTech in Computer Science. However, he left BITS after a year and completed his BTech from Punjab Engineering College.

After completing his engineering studies, Kaushal prepared for the UPSC exam in 2012 and secured an AIR 38. He was posted in IDES (Indian Defence Estates Services), which manages military land in the country. After 12 years in the position, he resigned to become a mentor for UPSC aspirants.

Gaurav’s career clearly demonstrates his ability to take risks at every phase of life. Being exceptionally talented, he did not rest on his achievements of getting into IIT or completing his BTech. He always sought to pursue something new.

After quitting the IAS, Kaushal is now running mentorship programs for budding UPSC aspirants. He provides valuable guidance through his YouTube channel to candidates preparing for the UPSC. Kaushal has also launched his mentorship app, the Gaurav Kaushal App, for UPSC aspirants, where he guides candidates on a first-come, first-served basis.
