Kadaba, Jul 8: Fire service personnel rescued a youth who was stuck in the Kumaradhara river and calling for help at Pulikukku on Monday July 8.
The Kumaradhara river was flowing at full capacity at Pulikukku. A youth was found crying for help, clinging to the bushes in the river on Monday morning. Locals alerted the police and fire service personnel.
Fire service personnel rescued the youth and took him to the Kadaba community health centre. The youth has been identified as a native of Bengaluru. A bag, believed to belong to him, was found near the Pulikukku bus stand.
It is suspected that he jumped into the river in an attempt to end life. Further details are yet to emerge.
