Mangalore: ‘Namma Naadu’ Channel Celebrates 5th Anniversary

Mangalore, Oct 31: ‘Namma Naadu’, a TV news channel of Namma Ad Media, celebrated its 5th anniversary at Town Hall here on Sunday October 30.
 
District-in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar inaugurated the programme. Speaking on the occasion, he said that media will be popular among people only when it publishes unbiased and fair reports without falling prey to any political pressure. “’Namma Nadu’ has achieved great success in this context,” he opined.


 

Vardhamana Durgaprasad Shetty of Gurupura Golidadigutthu presided. On the occasion, Mumbai-based entrepreneur Suresh R Kanchan was honoured with the ‘Best Non Resident Kannadiga’ award, while K Chittaranjan, Kankanady Garadi Kshetra, received an award for his contribution in the religious field.
 
MP Nalin Kumar, DK ZP president Shailaja K T Bhat, MLA U T Khader, entrepreneur B M Farooq, KPCC secretary Ivan D’Souza, Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists’ Union president P B Harish Rai, and ‘Namma Nadu’ producer Devadas Shetty Thuppekallu were present on the occasion.
