Mangalore: DCC Pays Tribute to Indira Gandhi on 27th Death Anniversary

Mangalore, Nov 1: The District Congress Committee (DCC) organized a commemoration programme for late Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi, on Monday October 31, on her death anniversary. The programme was organized in the Congress office at Hampanakatta.
 
Bantwal MLA and district Congress president Ramanath Rai, speaking on the occasion, said that Indira Gandhi was the best leader of this nation.

“During her stint as Prime Minister of this nation, she introduced many projects like green revolution and nationalization of banks among others. She made this country compete with other developed countries,” he noted.
 
Floral tributes were offered to the portrait of Indira Gandhi by the district Congress leaders as a mark of respect.
 
Leaders Vijay Kumar Shetty, Mohammed Masood, P V Mohan, Ivan D’Souza, Moideen Bava, Mamatha Gatty, former mayor Shashidhar Hegde, Suresh Ballal, Mithun Rai, Sudhir T K, Praveenchandra Alva, Padmanabha Naringana, Mamatha Shenoy, and Appi were present.
