Sullia, Nov 1: Gandhiprasad Bangarakody, member of Peraje gram panchayat in the taluk, was expelled by BJP for the second time recently.

President of BJP Peraje regional committee, Chinnappa Adka, has stated that Gandhiprasad Bangarakody has been expelled from the party as per the instructions of BJP constituency committee and district BJP leadership. Bangarakody has been charged with indulging in anti-party activities by propping up a candidate against the official candidate of the party in the previous gram pahchayat election, by joining hands with JDS and Congress.

In the past, Gandhiprasad had contested a gram panchayat election on his own, against the official candidate of the party, and had come out victorious. At that time too, Peraje regional committee of the party had expelled him from the party, but the district committee had not upheld this decision. However, the decision this time has got the nod of the district leadership of the party.
