General Motors Sells Over 186,000 Vehicles in October


Washington, Nov 2 (IANS): The leading US automaker, General Motors Co. Tuesday announced that it sold a total of 186,895 vehicles in October.

The sales figures are up two percent from the corresponding period last year, Xinhua reported Wednesday.

The brand breakdown showed that GM's best-seller Chevrolet rose six percent in the month, while GMC, Buick and Cadillac all suffered contraction.

According to Don Johnson, vice president of US Sales Operations, Chevrolet led the way for GM in October driven by the continued success of the Cruze and Equinox models.Two crore unique Aadhaar numbers generated in October.
